Never knew till today that the most famous Sikh General has a surviving family. Great story! Pictures too are great, but nothing comes close to the achievements of Hari Singh Nalwa. I thank him for his service to the Sikh nation.

The grandfather of Hari Singh Nalwa was killed at Kup --Wadda Ghalughara in 1762 while fighting Abdali. His name as given in the history books is Hardas Singh . Pl chk.

Dear Trust,
I am interested to connect with one of your trustees, Dr. Vanit Nalwa.
I am the descendant of the Diwans Sawan Mal and Mulraj Chopra, who were ruling at Multan during the period of mutual historical interest. More specifically, our house in Gujranwala (opposite the railway station) was next door to the Nalwa residence, and our families as neighbours continued contact until Partition.
I would be interested to connect.
With kind regards,
Jarat

Ranjit Singh Monarch Mystique has a very fascinating and intriguing potrayal of one of the most remarkable women in the history of Punjab Sardarni Sada Kaur, mother-in-law of Maharaja Ranjit Singh who initially helped him in creating Punjab Empire and in the end when her relationship soured, died in his confinement.

Monarch Mystique published by the Hari Singh Nalwa Foundation Trust is an illustrated work that acquaints readers with 18th 19th century Punjab and introduces them to the enigmatic Maharaja Ranjit Singh. A very powerful narrative.
